All of our wedding cakes are named, but that doesn't mean we have set designs that you have to choose from. Instead every wedding cake we do is individually designed in a one on one complimentary consultation with Jeanette, who designs, builds, delivers and sets up every cake we make. So why do we name the cakes? Simply put, we've found it much easier when someone sees an example that sparks an idea to have a name to point us to the exact wedding cake design that caught their eye.
Our Wedding Cakes are Always Made Fresh
The artistic value of the masterpiece that is a wedding cake is, of course, only the first aspect of a wedding cake. Of equal value to appearance of your cake is taste. You want your guests to have a treat that, like your new marriage, is as sweet and good on the inside as it is on the outside. Therefore, at Frosting on the Cake (formerly, Layer by Layer), all of our cakes are made fresh just in time for your wedding. Likewise, our cakes are always made from the freshest northwest ingredients for a light yet moist cake that is sure to please.Want a chocolate wedding cake? How about a wedding cake that offers your guests a choice of flavors? You can safely go either way for the same low price. Each tier of our wedding cakes stand approximately five inches high and comes with two layers of filling. Of course, delivery and set up in the Portland metropolitan area is always included in the price of your wedding cake.
